Seems like an #Introduction is a good thing to post here. I’m Michael Olsen (he/him), a former marriage and family therapist who is working to break into an infosec career.

Most days you’ll find me trying to develop my understand of the ins and outs of networking and security with trainings, a home lab, or talking to others. I spent over a decade working as a small-town counselor and loved that period of my life. I care about others, and am honored to work each day to be a safe and supportive ally for other marginalized people who’ve had less privilege than myself. A serious bout with colon #Cancer as well as some other life circumstances led me to switch careers.

I hope to find an interesting role in the world of cyber defense and security. Here you’ll see me mostly posting about #WeHackHealth and #Weightlifting, the adventures of raising four kids with my spouse, and various creative endeavors; including playing #DnD and terrain crafting, and the occasional #Woodworking project.
