*Not* "landslide" victory.
US population: ~ 346 million.
Eligible voters: ~ 231 million.
Trump voters: ~ 76.4 million
Republicans ruling with 22.1% of populations support
with 33.1% of Eligible voters support
with 47.% of Registered voters support

I have a lot of insight as to what it's like to be homeless in this country because I was for four years due to mental health issues, addiction as a result, as well as from an accident where I nearly died.
It's absolute hell, and the resources are pathetic. "Just get a job!" Many say; being homeless is harder than any job you will EVER fucking do.
It's about to get worse because of Trump's plans for support systems the poor need.
We should be ashamed.

I recently read "The Fifth Sacred Thing" by Starhawk.
I think it's an important book for times like these, especially if you're currently struggling to understand why we should still strive to be good people when evil people seem to be getting all the power.
Because we *should* still strive to be good people. Love will always be more durable than fear.

What can we do now?
I believe the only thing we can really do is create pockets of virtue where goodness reigns and we do our part to be kind and loving humans.
What not to do?
Let's not create further separation through divisive thoughts and actions. Rather, let's cultivate #kindness and #compassion toward all beings—especially those who are most confused and mentally afflicted.
This will probably be playing constantly in the back of my head for the next month or so.

The majority of US citizens do not want this. We have gerrymandering; the electoral college; felon disenfranchisement and the world's largest imprisoned population; no real civics education. Our corporate media is more concerned with "balance" than truth. US elections are on a Tuesday - not a holiday! - specifically to depress the working class vote.
